You can't argue with tasty apples in nice, warm cake!

Ingredients
1/2cupbutter - soft
1/4tspsalt
1cupwhite sugar
1egg - beaten
1cupall-purpose flour
1/2tspbaking powder
1/2tspbaking soda
1/2tspcinnamon
4apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
Vanilla Glaze
1/4cupbutter - softened
1 1/2cupicing sugar
1tspvanilla extract
2tbsphot water
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F (150C).
Grease an 8" x 8" square Pyrex dish with butter.
Cream together butter, salt and sugar. Beat in the egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients (which have been mixed together) and mix well. Add chopped apple. Mixture is quite thick and very apple-ly. Spread evenly in dish.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean.
While still warm top with a vanilla glaze (see below).
Vanilla Glaze
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in the icing sugar and vanilla. Then add the water, 1 tbsp at a time, until glaze is of proper consistency.
