Hot Fudge Pudding Cake is a recipe that creates a cake on the top and a rich chocolate pudding below.

Ingredients

Cake Base

  • cup All purpose flour
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Topping

  • cup brown sugar - packed
  • 1 ⅓ cup hot water
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350 ℉
  • Mix all Cake Base ingredients. Put into and ungreased 2L (2 quart) casserole.
  • Mix brown sugar and 2 tbsp of cocoa; sprinkle on batter. Pour hot water on batter.
    Hot Fudge Pudding Cake before baking
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until sauce is bubbly below and cake test done with cake tester.
    Hot Fudge Pudding Cake after baking
  • Serve warm. Top with whipped cream or ice cream or milk, if you wish
