Instructions
Cake
Preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C).
Grease an 8" square Pyrex baking dish. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, salt and raisins. Stir in milk and vanilla. Spread evenly onto the bottom of the dish.
Sauce
Combine all ingredients, except vanilla, and stir until the butter is melted. Then stir in the vanilla. Pour the sauce over the cake mixture and bake, uncovered, for 30 - 35 minutes or until a cake tester (or toothpick) comes out clean when inserted in the centre of the cake.
