Ham Quiche
Easter is just around the corner and many dinner hams will grace the family dinner table. This Ham Quiche recipe is a fresh idea for the leftover ham.
Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie crust - unbaked
- 1 cup cooked ham - diced
- 1 cup Swiss cheese - grated
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1 dash nutmeg - freshly grated
- 1 dash pepper - freshly ground
Optional
- 1/8 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F (190C)
- Sprinkle half the ham over bottom of pie crust. Place half of the cheese in a food processor (or grate with box grater).. Sprinkle over ham. Repeat with remaining ham and cheese.

- Place remaining ingredients in food processor or mix vigorously until combined but not foamy. You may stop at this point, and put everything in the fridge to combine just before cooking.
- Pour egg/milk mixture into pie shell. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and puffed in the middle.
- Remove from the oven, let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.

The ham and Swiss cheese fills the the quiche dish to the top. The egg/milk mixture just fills in the remaining available room.
I like to serve it with a nice green salad.
This quiche just melts in your mouth!
